The Eric Liddell Community is an Edinburgh based charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of people by reducing isolation and loneliness.
Eric Henry Liddell was a Scottish sprinter, rugby player and Christian missionary. He won a gold medal in the 400-metre run and a bronze in the 200 metres at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Eric Liddell Big 100 is our way to recognise and celebrate the life, sporting and community service achievements of one of Scotland’s iconic figures.
SAMH operates over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. They also work in partnership with jogscotland to support our work getting Scotland active, improving the physical and mental health of the nation, and particularly in supporting our wonderful jog leaders, who make the magic happen.
